Every bite, counted.
Log a meal in seconds. Two weeks in, you can swap the calculator's guess for what your body actually does.
What it does
- Quick to log: Search, scan a barcode, or add your own. Most foods take a few seconds.
- More than calories: Protein, carbs, fat, and 18 vitamins and minerals, counted as you log.
- Recipes and meals: Save what you cook and eat often, and log it again with one tap.
- A target that adjusts: Ampsu adjusts your target as it learns how your body actually responds.
- Progress you can see: Charts, streaks and weight trends, so you can see how things are changing.
- Your data, your business: Private unless you share it in a group. Export it or delete your account whenever you want.
- Track with friends: Start a group, invite people, and choose exactly what you share.
- Snap a meal: Restaurant plate or someone else's cooking? Take a photo. It won't be to the gram, but it beats guessing.
- A daily coach: Morning and evening, Ampsu reads your day and points out a thing or two worth knowing.
- Connect your AI: Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your week, and get answers from your real numbers.
- Bring your history: Coming from MyFitnessPal or Cronometer? Import your CSV and carry on.
A food tracker from Europe
Ampsu is made by a small independent team in Estonia and runs on EU servers, under European privacy law. We think a food tracker should count your numbers, help you make sense of them, and otherwise leave you alone.
Questions, answered
Do I need a kitchen scale?
Weighing is the most accurate way, and it gives the metabolism estimate the cleanest data to learn from. Scanning and photos are there for the meals you can't weigh, like a restaurant plate or someone else's cooking, but they're estimates. And if your numbers are consistently off, everything built on them drifts too. So weigh when you can, and estimate when you can't.
What's this metabolism learning about?
Log for a couple of weeks and weigh yourself now and then. Ampsu compares what you ate with what your weight actually did, and adjusts your target to fit you rather than a formula's guess. It gets more accurate the longer you keep at it.
What happens to my data?
It's yours. We don't sell it, there are no ad trackers, and nobody builds a profile out of it. It's stored on EU servers under GDPR, and other people only see what you choose to share in a group you've joined.
Is the photo estimate actually any good?
It's an estimate, and no photo can give you more than that. For a restaurant plate or someone's home cooking it usually gets close enough, and you can adjust the numbers before you save. That still beats guessing in your head or not logging it at all. US health researchers tested the big photo apps against real meals and found them about a third low. Ours isn't perfect either, so check the numbers before you save.
Is there an app, or just a website?
Both. There's an Android app on Google Play, and the web app runs in any browser. Add the web app to your home screen and it opens full-screen like any other app. An iPhone app is planned.
Can I use it without the camera?
Yes, and plenty of people do. Search by name, save the meals you cook often, or type the numbers in from the packet. The camera is there if you want it.
Will it find the food from my shop?
Usually, yes. Scan the barcode and most packaged food comes up, supermarket own-brands included. If something's missing, you can add it in a few taps and it'll be there for the next person too. Loose food weighed at the counter gets a new sticker every time. Save one and Ampsu remembers it for you.
